How to tackle global challenges with JCI, yes with JCI!

You open up the television, try to read a newspaper, or just simple talking to your dad your mom or to you friends, amongst the first topics you mention the word “crisis”. Of course in general conversation beside the weather or the family health this issue is coming up as well.

Maybe some scientist and economist are right when they envisioning the “ghost of catastrophe” is flying over the world, maybe not, we don’t know at this point. Should we just wait and see what is going to happen, or can we do something to prevent it? As young leaders and entrepreneurs we can not to sit back like a coach potato but go out there and make our standpoint. By making our standpoint about defending the global business mechanism, believing our basic landmark statement such as “economic justice can best be won by free man through free enterprise”, we can do a lot to prevent things happening.

The founders of JCI made an eco-political statement already at the beginning, that they believe in capitalism, and they believe it’s good for the world if the idea of this system is spread around the globe. Many times we are mistaken that JCI is a non political organization which cannot make statements, however this assumption is wrong. Meanwhile JCI is not a party political organization, but should believe and stand by its belief and don’t keep them as a secret. Our role in society is very clear, we need to develop ourselves and our communities to make a better world for generations to come. The way how we doing is outlined in our Mission, Vision and Values (MVV). If we think this through, this is true for each and every individual around the globe, we born to develop and than re produce ourselves and passing the gavel along. How we do it all along our lifetime that is making us different. How we do it in JCI, that is outlined in our MVV.

As members of JCI our duty is to live by the standards of free economy, practice it every day, but also the same time being responsible. Being a front runner how to leverage between developments of societies (i.e getting wealthier) and not overburden our globe is our duty. Finding the balance between satisfying our needs and also control our ego. Sometimes we cannot just stop developing our economic wealth at a certain stage, since our “built in” mechanism is driving us forward and forward all the time. Sometimes we have to stop and make an analysis how we can put our communities ahead of our individual needs. Economic development cannot be stopped, that would really make our currently critical situation worst, but our wealth structure needs to be carefully analyzed.

George Soros strictly believes that the stock exchange pricing for any asset (stock of currencies) are only depending of the assumptions of the global crowd. Our duty as believing the value of global economy determines as to be positive. We have to positive and also channel our positivity to our business partners and families. Our positive assumption about the wealth of the global economy could create a snowball effect and make an impact.

Being positive, developing but with careful attention on spreading our accumulated wealth is what we can do. If we do this we made our contribution to keep the ball rolling, to stay in wealthy safe and enjoyable environment for us and for our children. What else we need, hm?
