We are all leaders! So….., be a better one! But how?
We are all leaders in our daily life, dealing with issues, leading our own path during our existence. If we run a family after a while, we are managing a team, dealing with conflict supervision, decision making, project management and certainly with planning. All those tools a leader is using in business areas. That is why it’s easy to say, that all of us should go and develop the usage of this tools, whether or not we have any will to become leader in a traditional way. Joining a leadership development organization as early stage as possible will help a lot with that, because whether we like it or not, leading – and especially leading well – will determine a happy and successful life for all of us. If we are in the hand of fortune, we could feel lost, if we are our own leader and commander of our own cruise ship, we have chance more likely to succeed.
Since the 21st century brought us huge choice of varieties in many ways, decision making become one of the most important skill. 100 years ago only a relatively small group of citizens had chance to jump on any vehicle and took a job offer in other part of the world. Now it’s possible for all of us. 100 years ago if a person born in a locksmith family, most likely continued the family tradition, today he can go to any professional field preferred. (100 years ago he could not be a she; meanwhile today it’s all possible). What way to take? It is all based on the personal decision, influenced by hundreds of factors. In the era of unlimited available information, it’s still not possible to make a decision which is based on “all” information and factor. Taking into consideration the most relevant information, and make a decision on that, is the skill what we all should look for, or learn how to look for.
It’s easy to say that the youngster of our age analyzes the current situation through a different glass. The youngster of our age also analyzes the situation as their parents, and their grandparents did, but with availability to much more information. To find a good compass that leads us through the huge amount of facts and figures is the key to find an excellent conclusion. Who is going to be voluntarily our compass, and where to find her/him? Who is going to mentor the young people to lead our world to a better status where we are now? Providing such service to young people is the task of leadership development organizations. Organizations that will teach us for those techniques, and build up our skills to move ahead, to be better leaders, to make better societies.
